PLF stands for Prismatic Light Field / 00
A prismatic device is set in an oculus at the top of the semipherical roof. The device is some kind reverse fresnel lens which diffuse the white light into rings of colors spreading wide into the space below. To insure a perfect sunlight angle at 90° from the horizontal plan, an heliostat will be required.
This work was done in collaboration with Jacques Raynaud
Room set up with not prismatic device, just the oculus with the sun at 90°. On the ground a glass disk with a reflective coating is layed to bounced the light back toward the underside of the dome
